#iGive Catholic is the official Catholic initiative of Giving Tuesday, which is a National Day of Observance for making gifts to nonprofit organizations. Giving Tuesday is observed every year on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving, which is Tuesday, November 29.
This year, as in the past, our Parish (and all the parishes in the A/J Diocese will be participating in the iGiveCatholic event. Our goal will be the same as last year as we focus on the installation of a new & better heating system for our Church, one that we hope will also include air-conditioning! Seasonal fluctuation in temperature and humidity negatively affects the paintings on the plaster walls, the hand-painted mural in the apse above the High Altar, the paintings on the ceiling throughout the Church, and let us not forget the statues too! In the last decade, the interior of the Church was repainted again, but already, the ceiling, walls & sanctuary are showing signs of peeling and flaking paint. A new modern heating/air-conditioning system would serve to preserve the Church’s beautiful interior painting and furnishings for many more years to come! May God reward your generosity...
