When the world stopped because of the COVID-19 pandemic, Saint Vincent de Paul didn’t waiver in its dedication to helping neighbors in need. SVdP Councils & Conferences across the country innovated their traditional work to assure that there was no interruption in their support of their neighbors in need in their communities.
On Friday, August 6, at 5:30 p.m. a special edition of “Our Faith in Action: Today’s Society of St. Vincent de Paul” will air on EWTN. This episode will focus on the work of Vincentians in just three of thousands of cities in the U.S. with a SVdP presence. This episode will tell the stories about how Vincentians in Tampa, Florida; Houston, Texas; & Albuquerque, New Mexico adjusted their services when the traditional methods of care would no longer work.
Throughout the pandemic, Vincentians have shown that the spirit of St. Vincent de Paul & Blessed Frederic Ozanam flows through them & their hearts of service know no bounds. Even a global pandemic never changed the Society’s unique person-to-person ministry. Please tune in & encourage your Vincentians to spread the word and do the same!
