The Queen of Peace Saint Vincent de Paul Society (SVDP) Conference would like to extend our gratitude to all for your contributions this past year. Your generous donations assisted families in our area with needed heating fuel, help with electric bills, rent, & clothing among other necessities. +++ Through your kindnesses, we assisted approximately 75 families this past year. In addition; on a monthly basis the SVDP Food Pantry is assisting approximately 200 families! It is through your generous donations that we are able to help these families with access to food. +++ Thank you for your financial support, food & volunteer time to make our mission successful & with this we are most grateful. Holy Conversation - For weeks we have rejoiced in the birth of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Can you imagine being there? Can you imagine the joy of the Shepherds as they ran to see the Newborn King? A short film, “The Shepherd” will be shown in the Queen of Peace Spiritual Resource Room (lower level of the Parish Center) on Wed., Jan. 15, after morning Mass (8:30 a.m.) All are welcome to join in the Holy Conversation!
Epiphany is the day that gifts/cards are opened at the Rectory and this year it took some doin’!!! --- Thank you for your many kindnesses in word and deed. As a reminder; you may request 5 Masses per year, (2 weekend & 3 weekday Masses). Any Mass requests that cannot be filled here at Queen of Peace will be sent (if you choose) to St. Vincent Archabbey where the Monks will fulfill your Mass requests. +++ The hanging Sanctuary Lamp, which can be reserved for one (1) intention & the Lamps on the High Altar, which can be reserved for two (2) intentions, are limited to three (3) dates per year. +++ Mass stipends remain at $10/ Mass & the Sanctuary Lamps are $10/ week. All requests will be filled on a first-come basis. Mass requests for 2021 *will not be reserved until the book is received in the Parish Office, March 1, 2020.*
