"The first St. Mary’s Catholic Church of Patton was erected in 1893, during the earliest inception of the town, and was intended only as a temporary place of worship until the growth of Patton should warrant a more commodious structure (the first structure was dismantled and relocated to become St. George Church). The laying of the corner stone, on the present building, was on May 22, 1898 which for the past 122 years has been named our Our Lady of Perpetual Help, St. Mary’s and now Queen of Peace. The weekend of June 27/28, we will take up the Peter’s Pence Collection, which provides Pope Francis with the funds to carry out his charitable works around the world. The proceeds benefit our brothers and sisters on the margins of society, including victims of war, oppression, and disasters. Please be generous, and thank you in advance. There are openings for Masses & the Sanctuary Lamp(s) for 2020 and 2021... You are permitted to reserve per year 5 Masses (2 weekend Masses & 3 weekday Masses) & 3 dates for the Sanctuary Lamp(s).
