Old School Mates of St. Mary’s Catholic School (SMS) in Patton, save the date! In 1972, after the Nuns left St. Mary’s School, the Marist Brothers Lay Volunteers kept the school open. This year the Christmas Decorations in the Church have received compliment after compliment and we are grateful that you, the faithful, have been inspired by them. Visitors to our Church say such things as, “It’s the most beautiful in Cambria County” or “I would expect to see this in Europe.” Such compliments make all the work worthwhile. But just for the inquiring minds who want to know...the flowers, greens, etc. cost us this year $2,180.17 to beautify Queen of Peace for the Holy Days. The Queen of Peace Conference and Food Pantry send heartfelt wishes of gratitude to all our contributors! With your help: --We were able to assist 60+ families with household bills and rent. --We helped people with gasoline to get to their jobs, and connect them with other agencies. --At least 60+ home visits and phone contacts were made, and 5,414 food boxes were distributed. --1,598 volunteer hours by Vincentians, 1,899 total hours of service by non- members, and 584 miles of service were given in 2022. ----- You are remembered in our daily prayers.
