Following successful heart by-pass surgery, Fr. Cyprian, O.S.B. suffered a debilitating stroke leaving his left side completely paralyzed, depriving him of his speech. For an organist, an exceptionally talented vocalist and choirmaster, the thought of being deprived of these joys must have been an unbearable cross. You all will remember that during Fr. A’s 6 months back at the Archabbey, 2 years ago, Fr. Cyprian, O.S.B. (the “little one”) and Fr. Maurus, O.S.B. (the “big one”) filled in and supplied the Sacraments and Holy Mass for us here at Queen of Peace. We would be remiss in charity if we did not beg God’s Mercy on Fr. Cyprian’s soul and implore the High Priest, Jesus Christ, to welcome Father to Paradise. +++ Eternal Rest Grant unto him, O, Lord and may perpetual light shine upon him. May he rest in peace... +++ May God reward Fr. Cyprian’s good labors. -----Parish Bulleltin, Nov. 19, 2023.
